What do I do? Quick!

Hi guys, a very quickie and sleepy question for you. Which whisky should I try tomorrow? The Scotch Whisky Experience in Edi has all the new Diageo Special Releases in their bar and I’m going to have one tomorrow afternoon…

Forget the Talisker 30yo, Lagavulin 12yo CS and all that jazz. What I’m really excited about is Port Ellen 30yo, Brora 30yo, Mannochmore 18yo, Benrinnes 23yo and Caol Ila 10yo Unpeated! Mind you, I am a full-time student and my bank manager already hates me a lot… This means that Port Ellen and Brora, both costing over £17 for 25ml, are out of question, unless there is someone out there who would like to sponsor me this one time!

  1. Hey, I work for Tatlock and Thomson and we’ve tested all those whiskies apart from the Benrinnes 23yo. For me the stand out malt was Port Ellen 9th release (Brora was a little underwhelming).

  2. hi!
I was in the bar wednesday and I tried the Port Ellen..with Chris.I mean Chris didnt drink just me,but he explain something about the PE.
I never tried before PE and any malt in this price..but I fallen in love..Port Ellen 9th is a really lovely and serious malt! That night I tried an other PE in the Albanach but the 9th was more intresting, elegant and really nice.So,Lucas..forget the money..and try that!!
I m just a foreign barman in Scotland my money is not so much but this malt was one of my best decision..and I dont mind the money…

and..I know is your post but I would like to Chris everything, this was one of my best day in Scotland, every member of the SWHC was really friendly with me,I felt like a real colleauge..and accidently I met with Mr.Evans from the SWA he was a gentleman with me..so..that experience and the PE together was like a dream.
Thank for that day to Chris again,to Heather,to Andreas,to Mr.Evans and that beautiful young lady who was in the bar with the bbc workers(sorry I dont know her name).
