Leith Spirits Virtual Tasting… Take 2.

Tasting 2 Header

Well, that was a blast! Last night I hosted a virtual tasting to aid the continued production of Leith Spirits’ C-19 LeithAL Sanitiser – the line up featured a 1992 Rosebank, 1994 Bruichladdich, 1976 Jura, 1969 Macallan, and a 1983 Caol Ila. What a night!

If you missed the tasting you can check out the video on the EWB Facebook page here.

It was a whole lot of fun, and raised some vital funds to help this philanthropic, not-for-profit initiative continue. This product has been made available, completely free of charge, to frontline public services, primary care providers, medical professionals, charities and many, many more in the local community who find themselves in critical need during the current Covid-19 pandemic. We were thrilled the dram packs for the tasting sold out in double quick time. In light of that, Leith Spirits’ owner Derek Mair has once again delved into the rather incredible inventory of stock at his disposal, and he’s donated another five whiskies for us to do it all again. As such, I’m delighted to announce a second virtual tasting will take place on Tuesday 26th May at 7:30pm BST over on the Edinburgh Whisky Blog Facebook page, again with all monies raised going to aid Leith Spirits’ production of their C-19 LeithAL sanitiser.

Twenty dram packs are available now on the Leith Spirits Events page, priced at £150. The line up is totally different to the first tasting, but equally, if not more, exciting, and will feature:

1. North of Scotland 1976 cask sample
2. Glenlivet 1938 35yo G&M
3. Bunnahabhain 1968 50yo Gleann Mór Rare Find
4. Talisker 1953 24yo G&M
5. Port Ellen 1983 33yo Gleann Mór Rare Find

Once again, I’d be delighted if you’d like to dram along with me, participate in the tasting, and help raise money for this fantastic cause. The dram packs include a 3cl sample of each whisky as well as a 20cl bottle of C-19 LeithAL Sanitiser (UK shipping only).

If you aren’t able to pick up a dram pack, don’t worry – please join the fun anyway and enjoy the tasting, post comments, and ask questions; simply log on to the EWB Facebook page at 7:30pm BST on Tuesday May 26th.

See you there!
