Whether you’re looking for an in-depth tutored, private whisky presentation, an informal drinks reception, a pre-dinner flight, or a late night soirée, we have you and your guests covered. We’ve hosted thousands of tasting experiences across the globe catering to all budgets and themes, for a whole range of corporate clients, private groups and charity events.
Private Whisky Tastings
Tutored, private tastings are suitable for smaller groups (up to 50 guests) and comprise a sit-down tasting with a flight of four or five whiskies set up in front of each guest. We would then guide the group through the whiskies, touching on several aspects of whisky, ranging from production and history through to the ‘five steps of appreciation’.
Personalised flights are our forte, and we would be delighted to tailor a bespoke package for your group. Whether you’re looking to taste specific whiskies, or explore a particular theme, do not hesitate to get in touch to discuss your needs. Drinks Reception Whisky Tastings
Drinks reception style tastings are much more informal and suited to large groups (50+ guests) and work extremely well in a conference or wedding environment. This style of tasting typically has 3-4 stations set up around a venue in a ‘market stall’ style where guests are free to chat and mingle with one another and sample each whisky at their leisure. Each station is manned by our expert whisky hosts who will hand out drams and chat to guests about the whisky, guide them through an informal tasting, and answer any questions they may have.
What to Expect at our Whisky Tastings
At every event, we provide:
- All whisky and glassware, which are official Glencairn Crystal whisky glasses.
- Expert whisky hosts with over a decade of experience in the whisky industry.
- Bespoke tasting mats unique to your booking.
- Water jugs with water droppers.
- Assorted whisky props to demonstrate each step in the whisky making process. These props are genuine production items and include samples of barley, grist, peat, replica pot stills, new make spirit, distillers’ E150a caramel, a copper dipping dog, and cask staves.
- And most of all… fun! We aim to entertain, inform, and enthrall each and every guest, giving them a unique insight into Scotland’s National Drink!
