Nose: Lemon grass, marshmallows, oaked Chardonnay, Champagne-flavoured croissant filling. It’s very clean and focused. With water becomes heavier but doesn’t loose the fresh-factor. Oily citrus, lemon icing, corn flakes, sour bread crust, vanilla custard. Very un-kinchie! Defined and pronounced, on time and in-tune.

Diageo has just announced the release of the second batch of their (in)famous Manager’s Choice expressions. The release comprises of 6 new single cask whiskies:
Blair Athol: Nov 1995, 570 bottles, Bodega Sherry European Oak, £200
Cragganmore: May 1997, 246 bottles, Bodega Sherry European Oak, £250
Dalwhinnie: February 1992, 270 bottles, Refill American Oak, £250

They are out! It’s official. There will be a total of 27 (one from each distillery) over the next year or so. The first batch of six (see the picture) should be available any day now from good retailers.
