Theatre! Whisky! Barbers! Cocktails! Surgeon’s Hall! 25th & 26th of May! Tickets here! I could continue on like this, writing a maximum of 5 words per sentence and then an exclamation mark. In fact, it may be a far easier way for me to write articles (although it may not be so fun for you, our dear reader). Anyway, I digress, Whisky Stramash! Like last year, this year will be a fantabulous mix of the traditional whisky festival, theatre, murder mystery, sun soaked beer gardenry (fingers crossed) and just a general whale of a time with the addition this year of a few more cocktails, as was shown at a little opening soiree held at the Whiski Rooms a month ago (below I am enjoying a Big Peat bacon fat washed cocktail with HP sauce caviar made by the fantastic chaps from Solid Liquids).
Apart from the cocktails, theatre, barbers, murder mystery and beer gardenry, here’s the whisky lineup for this year’s festival so far: Glen Moray, Glenfiddich, The Balvenie, A big canoe, Black Bottle, Bunnahabhain, Tobermory, Ledaig, The Macallan, Highland Park, Laphroaig, The Glenrothes, Wemyss Malts, BenRiach, Glendronach, Tomatin, Scotch Malt Whisky Society, AnCnoc, Jura, Fettercairn, Benromach, Paul John Malt Whisky, Douglas Laing, Big Peat, Harviestoun Craft Brewery with some Highland Park aged Beer!, Woodford Reserve Bourbon, Gordon and MacPhail Select Range, Tullibardine, Kilchoman, , English Whiskey & New Zealand Whiskey Collection ……..And a whole lot more!
